iPad Production Expected to Double by September

According to Vija Rakesh, Sterne Agee analyst, Apple may be doubling its iPad production from 1.5 million to 2.5 million units by September. In his note, he mentioned that Apple is getting ready for a wider launch internationally and the inevitable back-to-school sector.

Rakesh stated, “We believe most of the manufacturing bottlenecks [are] now solved in the iPad supply chain even though memory continues to be a constraint. Apple could make 6-7 million iPads by the third quarter of 2010.”
