Hotel Mogul HD for iPad is a hotel management game with a little side story. You must help Lynette buy back her company from a husband who cheated her out of her good fortune. Start from the ground up, as you buy, upgrade and sell properties to make a nice profit.
Review
Hotel Mogul HD for iPad comes with a storyline. Lynette found out that her husband had cheated her out of her family business. Help her rebuild her income so she may buy back her company and send her husband off to jail. The premise is easy, buy an empty lot, build a hotel on it and begin to make a profit. It’s that simple. There are 35 levels in Hotel Mogul HD that move along 5 exotic locations. At first you are limited by the type of hotels you can build, but as you level up, you can purchase better hotels, factories and commercial properties to help boost your income.
As you move up, you will be presented with ever increasing goals from buying to selling a specific number of hotels, building commercial properties to making a specified amount of income with a set amount of time to do it in. The challenges make the game fun because it forces you to think. You’ll need to plan your strategy so you can complete the level with the time that you have.
Lynette and her side story progresses along as you move up in the game. With her story, you’ll be presented with little mini-games such as helping her collect things she’s misplaced in her office, such as her pen, purse, folders and so forth. Actually, the game really didn’t need the story, as the hotel management portion, in itself, held up the game on its own. Awards are given once you reach specific milestones within the game and you have the option to share your accomplishments with your friends via Twitter or Facebook.
Graphics are well made, from the campgrounds all the way to the commercial properties. Simple animations such as the flying helicopters and cars driving along the highways add a nice touch to the game. Game noises are minimal but the background music, although fitting with the game’s theme, can become repetitive after a while. The only drawback I observed is since the emphasis to beat the clock, unless you do so, you may find yourself stuck on the same level for a very long time.
Recommendation
Hotel Mogul HD for iPad is recommended to time management fans. It is a fun and addicting game with challenges that will keep you entertained for many hours to come. Hotel Mogul HD is available now at the App Store for $6.99.
