Battle Harvest for iPhone and iPad Review

Nothing is worse than biting into an apple and finding that some worm has worked itself into your apple. Battle Harvest is you chance to exact a swift revenge on apple destroying worms. An evil worm legion is attempting to ruin fruit everywhere, and only you can stop them!

The back story to the game is that the worms are evil and attacking the apples, which adds to the delight in killing them. The view that worms are an integral part of a functioning ecosystem has no place here. These worms are bad and need to be exterminated.

Battle Harvest uses the classic falling objects into collumns setup, but there are many more elements and changes to that format and play. There are two modes to play, story and invasion. In story, there are 45 levels that are similar, but build in worm agression. Each of the three, 15 level, phases ends with a duel with the large evil worm that is more challenging to beat.  Invasion mode is just a, stay alive as long as possible, all out Rambo attack.

Do worms like coconuts? Dunno.

The game is linked to the game center where accomplishments are posted with others. All of the awards and the game center are welcome additions to the total game experience.  Also the backgrounds and the characters are well represented and look clean.

Battle Harvest is currently available in the app store for $.99.  This is a good game for those who like Jewels or Dr. Mario type games.  It is a quick waiting room game as well as a game to pass time progressing through the levels.  If you like these types of games, the money is well spent.
