Wedding Row 1.0 for iOS: Create, Organize, Save, and Share Wedding Plans

Charleston, South Carolina – The Wedding Row today is pleased to introduce Wedding Row 1.0 for iOS, their Lifestyle app that allows couples to create, organize, save, and share every aspect of their wedding plans. Featuring an image scrapbook with 25 categories, the app encourages soon-to-be brides and grooms to snap and/or download pictures of venues, gowns, invitations, jewelry, catering, etc. Inspiration boards let users group any of the collected images together, a built-in address book stores contact information, and a financial planner tracks expenses, deposits, estimates, and payments in all 25 categories. The app was developed for The Wedding Row, an innovative wedding plans consulting service, by Woven Interactive.

On launch in portrait mode, Wedding Row displays a floral brocade pattern of white on baby blue that serves as an elegant background to the app’s various functions. Four icon buttons are displayed: Images, Inspiration, Contacts, and Budget. Choosing the Images scrapbook brings up a scrolling list of 25 buttons, each a different color photo serving to illustrate the category in text beneath it. Touching any button, for example, Florals, opens the appropriate page in the Images scrapbook. Users may add images by selecting the “+” button, which activates either the photo import function or the device’s built-in camera. Photos may be previewed, notated, saved to the Images scrapbook, saved to the iOS Photo Library, and/or e-mailed.

By saving pictures of all the various items, designs, colors, people, and places under consideration, couples can easily organize and co-ordinate their event. The Images scrapbook contains the following 25 categories: Bar Service, Bridesmaid Attire, Catering, Decor, Favors, Florals, Groomsmen Attire, Hairstylist, Honeymoon, Invitations & Program, Jewelry, Menus & Maps, Miscellaneous 1, Miscellaneous 2, Miscellaneous 3, Music, Party Fashion, Photographer, Reception Venue, Save the Dates, Shoes, Wedding Cake, Wedding Gown, Wedding Planner, and Wedding Venue. The scrolling list of buttons displays the number of images saved in each of the categories.

Choosing the Inspiration button from the navigation tab at the bottom of the screen brings up the Inspiration Boards. Here, users can group images together to generate new ideas or test how well colors, patterns, shapes, and designs combine. There are three buttons available for creating a Board: Create Custom, Create from Category, and Create Virtual Wedding. Boards can be shared with friends via Wedding Row’s in-app connectivity and/or saved to the iOS Photo Library. Shaking the iOS device shuffles the images on the Board. Inspiration and Style Boards created by others can be viewed on The Wedding Row website.

All the relevant names, company names, addresses, websites, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, photos, and notes may be consolidated in the app’s built-in address book, which is accessed through the Contacts button. Users can enter contact information via the virtual keyboard, or can import existing details from the iOS Contacts app. New information entered into Wedding Row is automatically exported to the user’s main iOS Contacts book.
