According to Mingchi Kuo, Digitimes Research’s senior analyst, Apple placed roughly 2.3-2.35 million iPad units to Taiwan manufacturers for the month of July. Kuo stated that 58-60% of these orders are for the 3G version of the device.
Apple plans on launching the iPad to nine additional countries (Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore) later this month.
