Finally… Apple’s iPad has launched, millions of people have bought the device, those users are drooling over the prospect of iOS 4 on the iPad, and then… Apple is going to charge iPad owners for software upgrades to iOS 4??
Stuff.tv says they have it on good authority that Apple will be charging an upgrade fee for iPad users to step up to iOS 4. When they asked this anonymous source what the degree of certainty was that this would happen, the source replied, “Definite.”
No anonymous words have yet been spoken about pricing, or a date of release.
So, what do YOU think? Will you buy the upgrade? If so, what’s the highest amount you’d pay for multitasking and folders on your iPad?

It seems a bit rich that apple should charge iPad users to upgrade given the device was issued only just a few months ago. However, Apple made the ios4 upgrade free for iPod touch users but given how long I had been using the device on the prior OS I would have been prepared to pay maybe $10 tops for it.
Well I had to pay for the 2.0 upgrade on my 3rd gen ipod touch. Ipad should have had 4.0 to begin with, so hopefully Apple wont charge for it. It's already bad enough that you have to pay (full price) for the optimized version of apps you've already bought on the touch platform.
I meant my second gen ipod touch…
