Formspring’s first official app went live to the public today. While iOS apps come every day, Formspring’s new app (developed internally) marks a strategic direction for the company as it continues its global growth – and gives its community more ways to respond to one another every day, including the addition of mobile photos.

For those unfamiliar, Formspring lets millions of people find out more about one another through sharing interesting and personal responses. It also has the distinction of being one of the fastest growing social networks ever, surpassing 25 million users and 3.6 billion responses less than two years since launching.  This step marks the company’s biggest foray into the mobile space yet and broadens its impact on the global market.

Features:

  • Ask a question to your friends on Formspring or anyone in your iPhone contacts list
  • Send a photo from anywhere to your friends & get a response
  • Respond to a question with text or a photo
  • Smile at interesting and funny responses

Formspring is available in the App Store today as a free download. Formspring will follow up with apps for more mobile platforms in the coming months.
