ByteSize Games Reveals New Trailer for FlipShip
ByteSize Games, Inc., a Michigan-based start-up headed by ex-Insomniac Games developer Thomas Hoeg, today released the very first gameplay trailer for its iOS arcade space shooter, FlipShip, the closing seconds of which revealed the game’s release date: September 27, 2011.
“We are very excited to announce that Apple has approved FlipShip for release on the App Store on September 27, 2011,” said Chief Executive Officer Thomas Hoeg. “Like many classic arcade games, in FlipShip there is one main goal: to get the highest score possible, but it’s how the player gets that score that makes FlipShip feel just a bit different. FlipShip really is a unique experience, and we can’t wait to share that with as many players as possible.”
In addition to the trailer and September 27, 2011 release date, ByteSize also announced that a free “lite” version of FlipShip would be launching alongside the main game.
“We wanted to give people a real taste of the full FlipShip experience,” said Hoeg, “just in a bitesize package (pun intended).” “In FlipShip Lite, the player has one ship, one life, one score, and no other limits. The ‘lite’ version is just a slice of what FlipShip has to offer, but it is a complete experience that really captures a lot of what we love about the main game.”
