Best Buy Apple “Store-within-a-Store” Locations to Carry iPads on Day 1

Reports coming in from 9to5Mac and MacRumors say Best Buy’s Apple “Store-within-a-Store” will be selling the Wi-Fi iPad models on April 3rd. Although regular Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores will eventually sell iPads, they will have to wait a little longer, perhaps when the Wi-Fi + 3G models arrive.

According to MacRumors:

Reports curiously indicate that the demo units encompass four separate SKUs, while Apple is launching only three Wi-Fi iPad models on April 3rd. The identity of the fourth model to be demoed is unknown, although it is possible that stores may be receiving a Wi-Fi + 3G model, scheduled for launch in late April, for demo purposes.

Also, don’t expect Best Buy’s Apple “Store-within-a-Store” locations to open early either. Best Buy doesn’t think it would benefit you; because after all, the iPads are on a fixed price and there’s no other competition for them and the store; since they’ll have to shell out more money to pay for additional overtime.
