Khmelnitsky, Ukraine – LikeMac Group has updated Disk Order to v.3.2.4, its double-pane (commander like) file manager for Mac OS X. This release adds some nice features and improves Mountain Lion support.

Dropbox plugin is now included. It makes possible to browse through files on server, easily download and upload, or even view and edit them. Of course, as the name suggests, simple file dropping is also supported.

The built-in viewer has been updated to allow seamless file viewing on FTP servers, in archives or in other virtual file systems. Download progress now is displayed in the viewer window, so it’s always possible to cancel.

Also, 7zip archives are now supported. The user can walk through packed directories, view file contents and pick up some items to extract. Everything works exactly like with other supported formats.

Similarly to other popular file managers on PC or Mac, Disk Order can copy/view/edit files, browse archives, connect to FTP servers and, in overall, do many other file operations. Also, it has a handful of plugins, one of which is iPod Browse for downloading music from iPod/iPad/iPhone.

Disk Order was designed to be a decent double-pane substitution of Finder, which can save time and offer ultimate file management at the same time. It is best suitable for those who used to work on other platforms with applications like Total Commander or Directory Opus. Also, it’s a great choice for laptop owners, because nearly all file operations can be performed with customizable key combinations, without mouse.

Pricing and Availability:
Disk Order 3.2.4 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher and an Intel Mac. It can be downloaded free of charge on 30-day trial term basis. The full version can be purchased for $29.95 (USD).
