Surprise, Arizona – Torello Group, LLC today announced the public beta launch of Yapp Guru, an app review site founded by speech therapists along with therapy and education colleagues. Improving on the general App Store search, apps are organized by industry keywords, specific to speech/occupational/physical therapy and education for Android, Kindle, Nook, and Apple devices. In a unique curation effort, keyword searches connect apps to relevant expert app reviews, blogs, and insight on employing apps for therapy.

The new site, dedicated to the creation and maintenance of an innovative software application resource for speech- language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, educators, technology experts and parents, is available for a Public Beta period starting Friday, June 14, 2013.

“We realized the iTunes App Store search system and reviews were limited in providing relevant information to us as therapists and teachers,” said Mai Ling Chan, CEO of Yapp Guru. “We created Yapp Guru to provide a community where everyone interested in apps such as developers, bloggers, parents and therapists can all come and share how they are using apps to help others experience a richer life.”

In addition to the traditional community app rating, Yapp Guru identifies and qualifies reviewers as an app expert “Savvy Guru” based on a specified level of proven dedication and experience with apps, which provides a higher level of expertise and credibility to their review.
