Culver City, California – Quackenworth, fresh off its selection as a winner in the Bill & Melinda Gates Literacy Courseware Challenge, announced today that it has released its Beginning Writing: Letters and Numbers app on iTunes. The app teaches preschool students how to write letters and numbers. In addition, children can listen to and watch examples of animated numbers and letters, practice writing on their own, and capture an image of their work and save it to their device’s photo gallery.

“The Beginning Writing: Letters and Numbers app is another great interactive tool that teaches children how to write letters and numbers. Combine this latest release with our Witty Bitty Bunch and Vowel Stories for Beginning Readers series of apps and you have a solid mix of apps that can significantly increase a child’s early literacy skills,'” said Quackenworth CEO David Hollaway.

The app is part of the Witty Bitty Bunch Pre-school readiness series which is a mix of interactive apps that teach children basic literacy skills including short and long vowel sounds, rhyming, reading rhythm, and sight words.
