More information is becoming available regarding 3rd-party content, as we get closer to the iPad’s release. An internal memo from Condé Nast revealed the list of the first of the magazines that will be initially available for the iPad. They are:
- GQ
- Vanity Fair
- Wired
- Glamour
- The New Yorker
You can expect GQ to be the first one available, either at or directly after the iPad’s launch. Vanity Fair and Wired to follow in June, while launch schedules for Glamour and The New Yorker are still unclear.
Condé Nast’s editorial director, Thomas Wallace, said that there’s an experimental aspect to releasing these publications for the iPad. These titles will be used to test pricing and advertising strategies.
