Now using the same concept, we can relive those moments and help make learning fun for our kids using a new iPad app called ABC – Magnetic Alphabet. Dot Next have developed this app to stimulate the imagination of all kids, young or old and provides the ability to share their creations on Facebook.

Review
ABC – Magnetic Alphabet for iPad provides 95 individual magnet characters that come in 6 different colors. Characters include capital and small letter of the alphabet, numbers, symbols and shapes. Each piece can used more than once, in any number of combinations and placed freely on the board, at any angle you choose.

A quick tutorial is provided to familiarize the user how to use the application, however, this app is simple enough to use that this can be skipped altogether. Each piece is selected by using the tap and drag method from the bottom of the screen where the magnetic characters are to the blank slate. To place the pieces at an angle, simply tap on the top and bottom portion of the character and rotate the piece till you’re satisfied with the placement. To save your creation on the camera roll, share it on Facebook or to clear the board, tap on the plus symbol located on the top right hand portion of the screen and select your choice from the window provided.

ABC – Magnetic Alphabet is a great tool for everyone. It aids in teaching preschoolers their alphabets/numbers, a learning tool in teaching one how to spell or sending messages to friends and family. The characters on the app are rendered beautifully and provided with nominal sound effects.
