Japan’s Sumo Association Adopts iPad as New Communication Tool

In a report by Fortune, to “improve communication” within the sumo stables, Japan’s Sumo Association recently purchased and distributed 60 iPads within their community.

As the article states, sumo stablemasters are not big fans of computers and the size of sumo wrestlers make it difficult to text on smaller sized handhelds. So together with the iPad’s 9.7” display and large onscreen keyboard, Apple’s magical device is just the perfect fit.

This communication tool does go far beyond the traditional ways of sumo, but who wants to argue with a 400 pound wrestler?!
