iPad Camera Connection Kits Now Shipping

Good news, folks! Shipping has begun to those who have pre-ordered the iPad Camera Connection Kit accessory. This $29 kit includes two 30-pin connectors, one with an opening for an SD card and the other with a USB port which connects to most digital cameras, so you can transfer your photographs directly into the iPad.

    Will this import full resolution images, or only "optimized" reduced size to the ipad? If they are optimized, when you sync the Ipad to the desktop, the smaller images will be brought in. You would have to re-import after you sync to the computer to get the larger size.

      Apple has not stated whether it will import pictures without resizing it to optimize viewing on the iPad. As you know, the iPhone resizes pictures and the iPad is using the same OS, so I'm doubtful that full resolution will be maintained.
