Apple was recently granted twelve new patents by the US Patent and Trademark Office. One patent, in particular, is for a number of multi-touch gestures which we may soon see applied to the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

As you can see from the diagram below, this goes beyond the basic pinch and zoom gestures and will take quite a bit of time to figure out. If you take a close look at Figure 4 on the second photo, it appears that Apple may have plans to add a printing feature in the near future. This gives us a little bit of hope with the idea of being able to print off existing iDevices. Or perhaps, the concept for an Apple Tablet isn’t dead, after all.
