There are updates available for several of our favorite apps today; Lifelike Alarm Clock and Weather HD, iFitness HD, GoodReader for iPad, eBay for iPad, USA TODAY for iPad, Live Cams HD, Photo fx Ultra and Penultimate. Here’s the breakdown:

Lifelike Alarm Clock and Weather HD – iPadmodo Review and iTunes Link

• Fixed iOS 4.2 compatibility issue

iFitness HD – iTunes Link

• Made several updates for our new Food Tracker feature including support for custom foods, quick add with all nutrients, editing of records, and various bug fixes that caused crashes for some users.
• Additionally, this update contains 30 new exercise videos. With the future updates, we are looking to bring more videos and exercises, while simultaneously building on the app’s existing feature set.

GoodReader for iPad – iTunes Link

• iOS 4.2 compatibility (multitasking support)
• new PDF displaying engine – zooming/panning is a lot smoother now
• “Repair a PDF File” feature. Some damaged files that previously caused GoodReader to display an “Unknown PDF Error” message (and could not be annotated for that matter), can now be automatically repaired.
• support for 256-bit AES encryption in PDF files (iOS 4.2 or later)
• fixed the issue when annotations created in GoodReader were missing when printing files later from a computer (you’ll need to somehow modify old annotations to fix them, any modification – placement, color, etc. – will make them “printable”)
• accented European characters are now stored correctly in PDF notes (old damaged characters won’t be fixed automatically, so you’ll need to manually re-enter those characters in old notes)
• Redo button in freehand drawing mode
• freehand drawing tool now allows to zoom and pan a page with two fingers, useful for long handwritten notes that do not fit on one screen
• freehand drawing tool now recognizes single taps as dots – no more circles when drawing the “i” letter
• freehand drawing tool now works much faster on pages containing a large number of annotations
• menus for annotating PDFs can now be accessed when VGA adapter is connected (“sticky notes” popups will still not be displayed on an external display for now, but this will be fixed soon)
• servers with untrusted certificates can now be visited in built-in browser
• servers with popup authentication windows can now be visited in built-in browser

• Stability improvements, including article view crash introduced in version 1.6. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Live Cams HD – iPadmodo Review and iTunes Link

• Eliminated memory leaks related to PTZ controls
• Improved look and feel of the PTZ preset list
• Eliminated the custom battery indicator and now display the iPhone OS status bar on the video screen. This gives access to the true network connection type and battery level.
• Changed several buttons back to graphical images to conserve space and to eliminate language barriers. The back button is now an arrow and there are images for the options and map buttons.
• Eliminated “hanging” on iOS 4.x when the app is moved to the background on a network connection and then resumed on a different one (3G versus Wifi for example).
• Fixed thumbnail display for cameras that do not allow still images to be captured.
• New camera profiles:
  - Added Planet Profile 2 for ICA-H610, including PTZ
  - Sony Profile 2 for 5th generation Sony cameras and Network Video Stations
• New camera-specific features:
  - Added PTZ and preset support for DLink DCS-2121 and DCS-5635
  - Trendnet profiles now have advanced control for rebooting the camera (not all models support this)

Photo fx Ultra – iTunes Link

• Compatibility with iOS 4.2
• When the the Point Controls are visible, you can now click on the Parameters icon to show them without first having to press the Point Controls icon to make them disappear

Penultimate – iTunes Link

• Compatibility with iPad version 4.2.
• Fix for Wrist Protection problems that were sometimes seen with the previous update.
