Craigly for iPad Review, Craigslist Search and Post App with Text-to-Speech Option

Whether you’re looking for an item to buy, sell, find a job, meet someone new or find a place to rent locally, only one website comes to mind, Craigslist. A website that covers such a vast amount of online ads is enough to drive anyone crazy. So where do you begin? Developed by Mother Tucker LLC, Craigly for iPad, makes your life a whole lot easier by making it easy for you by providing a user-friendly interface, fast searches, slideshows, including a new text-to-speech option.

Review
Craigly for iPad can be used in either portrait or landscape mode. Beginning with the search page, simply fill in the top bar with your search, check off locations where you’d like to find the item (choose as many as you’d like), choose the category, price range (min-max), whether you’d like an ad that has an image and/or filter through only search titles. The app quickly finds the results and is presented to you in three ways, list view, list with photo thumbnail or in full screen mode, also playable in a slidescreen fashion.

Tap on an ad of interest and you’ll be presented with that item’s description, along with photographs, if provided. Craigly for iPad keeps track of your most recent searches, save searches and mark items to your favorites folder. You can also forward the item title, along with the link to the ad to a friend, share the item on Twitter or Facebook, save the image to your photo album and pull up a map. Within the app, you can sign into your Craigslist account and post an ad to include up to 4 photographs from your photo album.

You can literally spend hours on end shopping with Craigly for iPad and better yet, why not listen to music in your iPod collection while you’re at it. This app does it all. In fact, you can send out a Tweet, browse the web from within the app, clear the cache (you will want to do so from time to time), email a friend about the app, report a problem and more.

Craigly for iPad is a well designed search and post app. With everything clearly labeled, it makes it real simple to use. The photographs fill the screen beautifully and the text are easy to read. Of course, for those that are vision-impaired, there is a new text-to-speech feature where the you can choose from five voices (5 male, 1 female), to read the item, along with its price as you go through the slideshow presentation of your searches.

Recommendation
Craigly for iPad comes highly recommended to Craigslist fans everywhere. It is an app that has gone above and beyond what a normal Craigslist user would hope to have. It is super fast, easy to use, and right on the money. You may never want to use Craigslist on your computer’s web browser again. Craigly for iPad is available now at the App Store for $.99.
