Apple Files for Trademarks on iBooks and iBook Store in Canada
Apple has filed for trademarks on iBooks and iBook Store in Canada. The trademark, uncovered by Patently Apple, is extremely broad. Not only is it limited to text based media, but it also related to music, subscription services, and the possibility of selling content in meat-space.
Only yesterday did we hear rumors of Apple’s international plans for iBooks, and now this proves that they’re planning to roll out worldwide sooner rather than later.
