In a report given by Reuters, the Apple iPad will officially be made available in Israel within a few week’s time. iDigital, Israel’s Apple importer, however, were unable to provide specific dates on the iDevice’s availability.

This week, HP filed papers into the USPTO to trademark the name “PalmPad”. Now, Examiner has it on good authority that the rumored “PalmPad” will also feature a “digital pen”, along with functioning as a capacitive touchscreen.

Look out iPad! HP has a new toy — it’s called Palm — and they’re coming to play with a tablet of their own. According to recently filed paperwork at the USPTO, HP is looking to trademark the name “PalmPad”.

Analyst Reports Apple Outsourced Over 2 Million iPad Units for July

According to Mingchi Kuo, Digitimes Research’s senior analyst, Apple placed roughly 2.3-2.35 million iPad units to Taiwan manufacturers for the month of July. Kuo stated that 58-60% of these orders are for the 3G version of the device.

An Apple employee’s home was recently robbed by a couple of thieves who made off with $20,000 worth of electronic goods which included 2 iPads, an iBook, laptops and a PC. They almost got away with it, however, the owner had already activated the Find My iPad feature on his Find My iPhone app, allowing the police to track and apprehend the two robbers.
Apple, iPad Sales Hit the Three Millionth Mark

In a press release this morning, Apple stated that the three millionth iPad was sold yesterday. Congratulations again, Mr. Jobs! What will be interesting will be just how many more iPads will be sold once the device launches in nine additional countries (Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand and Singapore) in July.

According to a recent analysis by Forrester Research, tablets such as the iPad (yes, we know it’s not a pc, but the group recognizes it as such) will outsell netbooks by the year 2012. By 2015, they predict that tablets will make up 23 percent of all personal computer sales.

Today marks the international launch of the ‘magical’ iPad in the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy. Long lines have been reported at many Apple retail stores worldwide including Tokyo’s Ginza that had as many as 1,200 people waiting in line to buy an iPad.
