Rovio posted on a tweet that they are “working on a solution to get all Angry Birds devices in sync.” The new feature, which they are calling Angry Birds Sync, will appear before the summer. With the sync feature, you will be able to play the game on one device and continue where you left off on another device. Whether the sync feature will remain within the iOS platform remains to be seen, however it is entirely possible that “all Angry Bird devices” may include Macs and Windows, as well.

According to Business Insider, Rovio, developer of Angry Birds, has picked up $42 million in a first round of capitalist funding co-led by Accel Partners and Atomico Ventures. It has been reported that Rovio has already made $50-70 million from app sales and licensing which is a remarkable feat in itself considering the company was close to bankruptcy when it released their 52nd app, Angry Birds.

A unique spin-off of Angry Birds is coming in March. Angry Birds Rio takes place with the original Angry Birds being kidnapped and taken to Rio. Here they will try to escape from their captors and set out to save their friends, Blu and Jewel – rare macaws from the upcoming movie, Rio.

Just over a year old, Rovio’s Angry Birds has been downloaded 50 million times thus far, with 10 million of those coming from the Android version. This puts the addicting game in the same class as Bejeweled and Legend of Zelda, who have also racked up the same number in downloads.
