AppAdvice released a video showing iPad specific applications that have been approved for the iPad App Store. Their count puts the number at over 700 apps thus far and it continues to rise. Developers have been frantically pushing approval for their apps so they may be released on Day 1. They believe it is important to be among the first ones as they make the most profit.Read more

Apple Now Accepting iPad Apps, Deadline March 27th

In an email just sent out to Apple app developers, Apple is now accepting new apps for the iPad. In this email, it was stated that developers have until March 27th at 5 PM to submit their iPad apps for the first stage of review. The deadline is for any app that wishes to be considered for the grand opening of the iPad App Store. It was also mentioned that only iPad apps built with the newly released iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 5 would be accepted for this initial review. Once the app has made it through the initial review the developer will be contacted with details about the readiness of their app and instructions on when and how to submit for final review. According to Secret Exit, developers of Zen Bound, Zen Bound 2 for iPad will not only be due out in the App Store soon, but that it’ll be before April 3rd, because they’re aiming to have a day one iPad version ready to go as well. Looking at the picture, it’s going to be just as gorgeous as the first game providing high resolution, crisp UI with lots of room to breathe, and offering the same physics-based rope-twisting gameplay as the first game.Read more
