According to some recent survey research conducted by Forrester, the Apple iPad has a 95% awareness level in the eyes of US consumers after only a few months on the market. The iPad has already exceeded levels attained by the Amazon Kindle — a product that has spent 3 years on the market — where still only 75% US consumers are aware or familiar with Amazon’s e-reader.

Apple has confirmed that they have indeed purchased Intrinsity, the company responsible for developing the iPad’s A4 processor. According to Tom R. Halfhill, a Microprocessor Report analyst, he believes the small company was purchased for $121 million.
