Today, Apple unveiled “The new iPad”, a slightly thicker (0.6mm) and heavier (1.4 lbs) tablet than the iPad 2, which features a 2048 x 1536 retina display, an A5X processor, quad-core graphics and a 5-megapixel rear camera with optics similar to those found on its iPhone 4S. The new camera supports 1080p video recording. The new iPad, unlike its predecessor, now includes support for 4G LTE with speeds up to 73 Mbps.
