SMEStorage today announced that they have released CloudFTP, a new feature add-on for their open cloud platform that FTP enables storage clouds even if the underlying storage cloud does not support the File Transfer Protocol. This means transferring files can be as easy as launching an FTP client. The CloudFTP feature continues a theme of providing ubiquitous access into silo’d storage clouds. Uploading data to different sessions is as simple as uploading files to different storage directories.
SMEStorage today announces iSMEStorage 2.06, an update to their popular multi cloud File Manager for iOS. iSMEStorage is a File Manager which supports over 15 different file Clouds as well as local iPhone and iPad file data. Users can upload files directly to the iPad and iPhone via a web interface as well as from standard FTP clients over WiFi. iSMEStorage continues the theme of adding clouds and implementing most user requested features.
Multi-cloud data access provider SMEStorage today announced that they have added Amazon S3 compatible API access for many clouds including Google Docs, Google Storage, RackSpace, DropBox plus many other Cloud Storage services. Providing an S3 compatible API provides a simple and convenient interface in which to read and write files. SMEStorage provides Windows, Mac and Linux Cloud Drives for many storage clouds as well as iPad, iPhone, Android and BlackBerry mobile clients.
SMEStorage today released CloudDav within its Cloud Storage Gateway. CloudDav enables WebDav access for supported storage clouds, such as Amazon S3 and SkyDrive, even when the underlying storage cloud itself does not support it. This makes it ideal for being able to access documents via iPhone and iPad applications that support WebDav, such as Office2, from storage providers that are otherwise not supported.
