Houdah Software today announces HoudahSpot 3.3, an update to their acclaimed Spotlight front-end for Mac OS X Leopard. With HoudahSpot, users may create detailed queries to pinpoint the exact file they want to get to. One of HoudahSpot’s key features is its extensive customization. Users may set up templates for frequently performed searches and save queries for direct access to favorite files. Version 3.3 adds the option to hide the query pane, making more room to show the search results.
Utah based Kabrea Technologies today announces ScreenTime 1.0, their innovative new time tracking application for iOS devices. ScreenTime encourages children to spend less time watching television and more time doing other more productive, healthy activities. By tracking the minutes each child interacts with the television or computer every day, parents can set a daily time allowance, and allowing kids to earn time and trade their minutes towards customizable rewards.
Mirage Labs today announces Flexicorder 1.0 for the iPhone. A video recording app, Flexicorder allows both front and back cameras for iPhone 4 to be used during a single recording session leading to some interesting possibilities. Initial user testing revealed ways in which this feature was used. Some of the more popular uses were shooting self videos and outdoor shooting. Flexicorder also allows many output resolutions and bit rates for video to be saved.
