With its easy-to-use interface, Tembo’s signature feature are the context sensitive filters to narrow down search results. It finds files, folders, mail messages, images, bookmarks and more. Tembo groups search results by file type categories. For each group the top 10 matches are displayed. Version 1.6 is now available in English, German, French and Japanese language versions.

Yokohama based Nagaraja Rivers has announced the release of Speak Japanese Fun Phrasebook 1.0 for iOS. It is is an easy to use talking phrasebook app for the Japanese language. Each phrase is displayed in large sized Japanese script, phonetic transliteration, and English translation. For each phrase there is audio recorded by a native Japanese speaker using a nice, clear voice. You can hear the audio for each phrase from a native Japanese speaker. There are over 500 words and phrases.
Wukomi Media have released a universal iPhone and iPad app ‘Dr. Moku’s Hiragana Mnemonics’ which teaches basic Japanese by using humorous or easily remembered associations for every symbol in the Japanese Hiragana alphabet. The apps feature audio, two different learning modes and three different quiz levels. The free Lite version has all the features of full version except that it teaches a limited number of symbols.
Holfeld Apps today released Japanese Speak Board 1.0 for iPad users. Japanese Speak Board offers users a fast, super-easy way to correctly learn eighty-eight of the most essential Japanese phrases. Users merely tap an English phrase to hear a crystal clear audio of a native Japan speaker saying the phrase in Japanese. To further enhance the simplicity and speed of the app, the phrases are organized into five categories: Basic, Emergency, Relationships, Travel and Business.
After the success of its launch four months ago, Montreal-based mTrip has expanded language support and is now offering its New York travel guide app in Japanese. All content, including the application’s interface and the editorial content of the travel guide has been translated and adapted to Japanese travelers. They can now plan their trip itineraries and tour New York with the mTrip application.
Tokyo based Scivone LLC. and Japan Animation Creators Association today announce JAniCA Stopwatch 1.0 for iOS, their new 1/24&1/30 frame stopwatch developed specifically for Japanese animation production. JAniCA Stopwatch is a digital recreation of the original analog version created iby Murata Kazuya. The frame rate for Japanese animation is 24 frames per second, where the standard is 30 frames per second for ordinary video footage.
