Last Temple HD by GameLab is a line-drawing and matching puzzle game where you use your finger to draw lines of corresponding gem pieces and clear them by letting go of your finger. The gem pieces are located on tile-based levels and they consist of shapes like leaves and flowers. If you ever played ‘Bejeweled’ or enjoy match-3 games you should find a lot to like about this title. It takes that formula and mixes it in with more gameplay variation like the game’s combo system and exploding tiles for example. Unlike those genres, where you either shift gems or tiles to get them to line up or in games where you tap gems one-by-one — in Last Temple HD, you line draw long sections of them and can change directions or pathways depending on where the matching gems are.

There are some games that just work perfectly on the iPad’s large touch screen and play in the strengths of the touch input better than others. The Line HD is such a game. You will be solving unique puzzles and finding ways for a character, called Eddy, to escape danger — all while using two main tools of erase and draw — to connect endpoints and draw lines. The game is very intuitive with a lot of depth and strategy involved.
