Washington-based Juicy Bits today announces Halftone 1.5, an update to their vintage effects app for iOS. Halftone is a fun way to add aged printing and comic-style effects to photos to give them a unique, vintage look. It offers over 20 paper styles, nine layouts, two caption formats, six different speech ballon shapes, over 20 stamps, and three licensed fonts. Photos can be customized, then saved to the photo album, sent via e-mail, shared with friends on Facebook and Twitter, and printed.
UK app developer Neon Play has achieved over ten million downloads since its launch ten months ago and just three weeks after its app Paper Glider was announced as Apple’s ten billionth download. Spookily, the company has also just employed its tenth member of staff. Last month Neon Play became the talk of the press when it was announced that Paper Glider, a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic, was the 10 billionth app to be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
