I took a lot of photos and some video of the event and many exhibitions I had a chance to check out. The event was great with some really unique gadgets, apps and innovations to see. I was really taken and impressed by a solar battery charger shown tested on the iPad called the JOOS Solar Charger — I also found out at the event that it won an award during CES 2011 for innovation. Imagine having an iPad charged (at least up to 70% of full battery) wherever there is sun present. I also liked the comfortable swing chair that desktop Mac users should feel at home with and the variety of skins available from Music Skins as decorations for the iDevices (I was told desktops and laptops as well).

Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space by a collaborative effort of Digital Eel and Astraware, has now been released on the App Store and is exclusive to the iPad for $4.99. As some of you may recall from the announcement of the title that it is a space-exploration game — also available on the PC and Mac — with a very addicting style of play. Because of the iPad’s larger screen estate, the game will most likely remain exclusive to the platform.
