Marketing research firm, Canalys, recently named Apple as the number 3 PC vendor in the world, only after HP and Acer respectively. According to their report, this boost was due to Mac personal computing sales which soared 241% in Q4 2010 alone, thanks to overwhelming sales of its little device called the Apple iPad.

MacRumors reports they have discovered 3 iPad photo apps inside the iOS 4.3 beta 2 build. In order for these to work, the iPad must have both a front and back facing camera just like its smaller sibling, the iPhone 4.

Verizon Wireless Plans on Selling CDMA Version of the iPad

According to a report from Bloomberg, Verizon Wireless also plans on selling a CDMA version of the Apple iPad which connects directly into their network. In a recent interview, Verizon Communications’ chief financial officer, Francis Shammo stated, “Verizon will get an embedded chip in the iPad for use on its network.” Currently, Verizon customers use the carrier’s MiFi Mobile Hotspot to access data.
