Hasbro and EA Mobile today announced that MONOPOLY Hotels has climbed to the top floor of the App Store charts in the U.S. and U.K.  Inspired by the world’s best-selling game brand, the free-to-download app is currently ranked No. 1 and No. 3 on iPhone in the U.K. and U.S., respectively, and No. 2 on the iPad in both countries.  MONOPOLY Hotels is also currently a Top 5 app in major European and Latin American markets from Italy to Argentina.

Apple Releases Sales Numbers from iPad Launch – 300,000+ WiFi Units Sold on Day 1

Today, Apple disclosed its Day 1 sales figures with over 300,000 WiFi only iPad units sold. This figure arrived from counting shipments to retail partners that included places like Best Buy, Apple Specialists. Also included in the press release, Apple announced that an average of 3+ apps and 1 iBook were downloaded by users within hours of giving life to their new iDevices.

This addition will give readers access to the 1 million+ books, newspapers and magazines purchasable through the B&N eBookstore, and any content purchased for their nook will be accessible. They gave no detail as to how it will differ from the iPhone version, except that it’s “designed specifically for the iPad”.
