With the release of MobileMarketing for Mac, small business owners are able to create high-response SMS text marketing campaigns right on their computer. MobileMarketing uses Address Book to send customized SMS text blasts through approved SMS text service bureaus. Users simply type in their message, choose their service bureau and send the campaign off. MobileMarketing will keep track of how many characters each message is as to not exceed the 160-character limit and incur additional charges.
Enfour today introduces POSTpone! 1.0 for iOS, their app that allows the user to compose an email or SMS and then set a reminder to send at a specified date or time. The app lets you compose messages when the inspiration strikes you and not have worry about disturbing the receiver at odd hours or even long before the time is right. With POSTpone!, messages arrive when and only when they should. It lets users review messages one last time before sending, and automates tedious recurring messages.
Power App today introduces Speech2SMS 1.0 for iOS, their app that allows users to create and send SMS messages by speaking into their iOS device. Following a brief period of calibration, during which it accounts for ambient noise levels, the app is ready to take dictation. It employs the OpenEars open-source iOS library for English language speech recognition. Designed for no-hands text input when use of the virtual keyboard is inconvenient or impossible, users must speak slowly and clearly.
