RBC Capital Markets recently revealed the outcome of their latest survey conducted from March 14-23 of over 2,000 consumers from within the U.S. The respondents were asked how likely they were to purchase the iPad 2, to compare it against a similar survey conducted with the original iPad back in May 2010. Other questions imposed included which model they would be most interested in and their preferred carrier.

Research conducted by YouGov shows the steady rise in the two iPad household. According to their latest report, 17% of iPad owners have admitted living in a household with more than one iPad.

In a survey of hundreds of iPhone app developers conducted by Optimum Lead Generation, the company behind iPadApplicationQuotes, a new website that connects business and entrepreneurs with experienced iPad app developers, the survey revealed 88% of iPhone app developers surveyed anticipate the porting of existing iPhone Apps to iPad Apps. 76% of iPhone app developers surveyed currently have at least 1 iPad App in development.

comScore recently released a study conducted using internet users (2,176 people) and their feelings towards the iPad and other e-Readers. Out of these consumers interviewed, 37 percent said they will likely read books on the iPad with another 34 percent reading books and magazines on the device.
Other interesting finds show “iOwners,” people who already own an iPhone or iPod Touch, are more likely to purchase newspaper and magazine subscriptions than those who do not. This is due in part by their familiarity with iTunes and are more receptive to using the store to make their purchases for the iPad.

According to the latest report coming from a ChangeWave survey, consumers looking to purchase an e-Reader within the next 90 days are more likely to buy an iPad than an Amazon Kindle. 40% of those respondents said they would purchase an iPad with 28% opting for the Amazon Kindle, 6% for the Barnes & Noble Nook, and only 1% who said they planned to purchase a Sony Reader.
