Firm Reports iPad-Ready Websites On the Rise

Meefedia, a firm monoriting online videos on the internet, have reported the steady increase of iPad-accessible websites, as seen through their chart comparison from January 2010. Currently, 26 percent of videos online are iPad-ready, meaning they have been converted into H.264 or HTML5 formats, instead of Flash, which neither iPad nor iPhone/iPod Touch support.

Videos that are new or have recently been uploaded into Facebook (YouTube videos were already supported) can now be viewed on your iPad and iPhone using Safari, thanks to their recent adoption of HTML5. Previously, Facebook videos were Flash-based and since neither iDevice supported Flash, users were unable to view them.
