Walt Mossberg, author and creator of the weekly Personal Technology column in The Wall Street Journal, in his report of the best and worst products of 2010, proclaimed the Apple iPad as the number one product of 2010. This is a huge feat in itself, being the first generation of any such product. Because of it’s recently updated iOS 4.2 and its continually growing number of iPad apps, it will remain on top for quite some time.

Ten days after the iPad and ABC Player app’s launch, the Wall Street Journal reports that users have watched at least 650,000 tv shows and have declared the app a huge success.

Even before the iPad hits the streets, publishers and advertisers are taking advantage of newest technology to get their products out to the consumers. A report by the Wall Street Journal mentioned that Time Magazine had already signed up at least six advertisers costing $200,000 each for one spot appearing within the first eight editions of their magazines on the iPad.
