Michael Movel, creative director at Fat Pebble, an independent games development company based in Brighton, UK, proudly announces their new partnership with the folks at Zynga to bring their game, Clay Jam to iOS and Android. According to Movel, they’re among the five Partners – including Atari – whose games will feature as launch titles on Zynga’s new Partners for Mobile service.

To celebrate the upcoming launch of Zynga’s newest mobile game, Zombie Swipeout, Zynga is unleashing 80 zombies on the streets of NY and SF. They are conducting what they’re calling a zombie blood drive with zombie look-alikes from Zombie Swipeout giving back in the only way they know how – donating “blood pops” to passersby. Today, Zynga announced the acquisition of certain assets of Five Mobile Inc., a Toronto-based developer of mobile applications that will become part of Zynga. The team at Five Mobile has a breadth of experience in mobile application development, and has created compelling, robust and scalable mobile applications in the past for some of the largest media and technology companies in North America. The Five Mobile team is now Zynga Toronto, led by mobile industry veteran Ameet Shah who will report up through our Zynga mobile team, led by David Ko. Ameet and this talented team of developers will focus on advancing multiple initiatives within Zynga mobile.

The game is a social version of the classic game of Hangman – with an innovative twist. This morning Zynga announced that Ricardo Quesada and Rolando Abarca, key contributors to the renowned cocos2d for iPhone open source project, are joining Zynga. The cocos2d for iPhone open source project is widely used by developers globally, including large players like Atari, ngmoco, Gamevil and Zynga, in the development of leading mobile games for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Mac. Zynga has long been an advocate of the open source community and we are excited to have Ricardo and Rolando continue to support and contribute to cocos2d for iPhone while in their new roles at Zynga. Facebook gamers may soon see the popular game Farmville on the iPad and iPhone platforms. According to reports, domain names Farmvilleipad.com and Farmvilleiphone.com has both been registered to Zynga, the creator of Facebook’s Farmville game.
